Life Legacy


Mrs. Josephine J. Niedbalski of rural Nashville, IL
departed this life at the Washington County Hospital
in Nashville, IL, on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 3:50
AM. She had attained the age of 87 years, 8 months
and 12 days.

Mrs. Niedbalski was born on July 1, 1921 in Posen,
IL the daughter of Martin and Frances (Kowalewski)
Paszkiewicz. She was united in marriage to Edward
Niedbalski on April 21, 1945 at Our Lady of Perpetual
Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL. and he survives
her passing.

Josephine owned and operated a dairy and grain
farm with her husband. She was a member of the Our
Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was
involved with the Altar Sodality. Josephine enjoyed
quilting, cooking, gardening, flowers and playing
pinochle, but most of all she loved being with her
family.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband Edward
Niedbalski of Nashville, IL; 5 children, Ed (Carol)
Niedbalski, Jr. of DuBois, IL, Janet (George) Bock of
Ashley, IL, Ruth (Bennie) Pinski of Nashville, IL,
Bernadette (David) Bronke of DuBois, IL and Ronald
(Mary) Niedbalski of Nashville, IL; 20 Grandchildren,
Sharmin (Steve) Wagner, Gary (Melissa) Niedbalski,
Susan (Cory) Schwartzkopf, Nicholas Niedbalski,
Martin (Brenda) Niedbalski, Andy Niedbalski, Sandra
(Gary) Kabat, Carla (Matt) Chesnek, Michael (Melinda)
Bock, Matthew (Andrea) Bock, Tammy (Chris) Jahnke,
Joe (Amy) Pinski, Daniel (Angela) Bronke, Elizabeth
(Friend Josh McCune) Bronke, James Bronke, Jessica
Bronke, Bradley (Kate) Niedbalski, Stephanie (Friend
Justin Schnitker) Niedbalski, Matthew (Fiancee` Erica
Harre) Niedbalski and Michele Niedbalski; 21 Great
Grandchildren, Jody, Kelsea, Hannah, Megan, Emery,
Madison, Malayna, Tyler, Todd, Colleen, Ethen,
Dustin, Taryn, Sarah, Caitlin, Allis, Oliver, Jason,
Bailey, Eric, John, Josephine and Johnathan; 2 sister-
in-laws, Sister Mary Berchmans of St. Louis, MO and
Helen Niedbalski of Belleville, IL; nieces, nephews,
other relation and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2
brothers, Casimer and Ted Paszkiewicz, 2 sisters,
Wanda Pedtke and Anna Niedbalski, 2 Great
Grandchildren, Cindy Marie Jahnke and Kenneth George
Wagner.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in
Nashville, IL on Sunday from 4 PM until 8 PM and on
Monday from 7:30 AM until 10 AM.

The rosary will be recited at the funeral home on
Sunday at 7:30 PM.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen,
IL on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Fr.
Bernard Goedde officiating and with interment in the
church cemetery.

Should friends desire mass offerings or memorial contributions can be made to the St. Ann School, St. Michael School, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery or to the Charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the Campagna Funeral Home.
