Mr. Jerome A. Perjak
Mr. Jerome Perjak of rural Ashley, IL departed
this life at the St. Marys/Good Samaritan Regional
Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL on Thursday, May 24,
2007 at 8:33 A.M. after a brief illness. He had
attained the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 24 days.
Mr. Perjak was born in St. Louis, MO on July 30,
1930the son of Adam and Rose (Kachuba) Perjak. He was
united in marriage to Helen C. Kuberski at Tamaroa,
IL on November 21, 1953 and she survives his passing.
Jerome was a veteran of the Korean War serving in
the United States Army. He was a retired life long-
farmer and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in
Nashville, IL. He was a member of American Legion
Post #110 of Nashville. Jerome enjoyed fishing,
spending time with his grandchildren and watching St.
Louis Cardinal Baseball.
Left to mourn his passing is wife, Helen Perjak of
Ashley, IL; 8 children, Joyce Filipiak and special
friend Robert Nicholson of St. Louis, MO, Carol
(Bernie) Smith of Pinckneyville, IL, Rich Perjak of
Deercreek, IL, Michael (Valerie) Perjak of New Haven,
MO, Linda Perjak-Williams of Pincklneyville, IL,
Leroy (Karen) Perjak of Richview, IL, Tom (Debbie)
Perjak of Nashville, IL and Peggy (Glendell)
Fullerton of Ashley, IL; 2 brothers, Raymond (Alvina)
Perjak of Fairview Heights, IL and Fr. Edmond Perjak
of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; 24 grandchildren,
Nathan and Tracy Filipiak, Yvonne and Kevin Smith,
Gregory, Nicholas, Timothy, Samantha and Joseph
Perjak, James and Adrienne Crabtree, Evan Jerome
Williams, Jenna, Marissa, Brandon and Jessica Perjak,
and Ryne, Britt, Dylan, Christian, Derek, Holli,
Catherine and Cassie Fullerton; 2 great
grandchildren, Tristan Filipiak and Trenton Crabtree;
other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister,
Frances Perjak, and a brother Edward Perjak.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home of
Nashville on Friday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on
Saturday from 7:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at
the St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL on
Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Andy
Knopik officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ann
Should friends desire, donations in the form of Mass offerings or contributions to the St. Ann School Endowment Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
