Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Sunday from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Monday from 7:30 AM until 9 AM and at the church from 10 AM until the service hour.
 
Services: Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11 am with Reverend Sue Artt officiating and with interment in the church cemetery.

Memorials: Should friend’s desire, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Youth Christian Education Fund or the St. Paul Dorcus Circle and will be accepted at the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rose M. Habbe, of Nashville, IL, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 7:00 A.M. She had attained the age of 80 years, 5 months and 29 days.

Mrs. Habbe was born in Nashville, IL on June 19, 1929, the daughter of Frank and Olinda (Siegman) Witt. She was united in marriage to Cecil Habbe on September 12, 1947 and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1967.

Mrs. Habbe was elected Washington County Treasurer, serving from 1966 until 1970. She was the first female elected to that position. Later, Rose was employed as a floral designer for over 28 years at the family owned business, The Flower Shop of Nashville. Mrs. Habbe was an active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL. and was a member of the St. Paul Dorcus Circle. Rose enjoyed watching tennis on television, Illinois basketball, taking walks, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Cecile Krus and her husband Dan of Nashville, 2 grandchildren, Danielle (Scott) Thompson of Chesterfield, Mo., and Courtney (Shannon) Krus of Shiloh, Illinois; a sister Evelyn Malone of Cottage Hills, IL. and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Witt of Nashville, Il., nieces, nephews, other relation and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Norman and Sylvester Witt; and 2 sisters Alberta Gill and Delores Mercer Lawrence.
