Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home of Ashley on Monday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 7:30 A.M. until 9:00 A.M.
 
Services: Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrate at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at DuBois, Illinois on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Robert Zwilling officiating and with interment in the Church Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the John C. Atchinson Post # 110 of the American Legion , Nashville, Il.

Memorials: Should friends desire, Mass offerings or memorial contributions to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church or the donor’s choice may be offered and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mr. Louis R. Pedtke of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of DuBois, Il., departed this life at the Barnes- Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Mo. on Friday , January 8, 2010 at 7:28 P.M.. He had attained the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 1 day.

Mr. Pedtke was born in Ashley, Illinois on March 7, 1932 the son of Anthony and Mary (Leffner) Pedtke. He was united in marriage to Margaret Lukasik at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at DuBois, Il. on August 22, 1964 and she survives his passing.

Louis was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Pedtke was employed at Wagner Electric of St. Louis for several years and later in the maintenance department at Vatterott until retirement. Louis was a member of St. Cletus Catholic Church in St. Charles, Mo. and was an usher at St. Cletus. He was active in the delivery of Meals On Wheels, loved working on the family farm at DuBois, Il., gardening and was a proud grandfather.

Left to mourn his passing are 2 daughters, Vicki Schnur of St. Louis, Mo., and Sharon Pedtke of Ballwin, Mo., sisters; Theresa Czajkowski of Ashley, Illinois, Clara (Benny) Boczek, of Belleville, Il., and Mary (Tom) Gruhala of Lemay, Mo.; brothers, Theodore “Ted” Pedtke and Anthony “Tony” Pedtke both of DuBois, Il., 2 grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Schnur, nieces, nephews, other relation and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
