Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home of Okawville on Sunday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Monday from 7:30 A.M. until 9 A.M. then at the church on Monday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.
 
Services: Funeral Services will be held in the St. Paul United Church of Christ in rural Okawville on Monday, January 18th, 2010 at 11 A.M. with Reverend Bill Cummins officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the St. Paul U.C.C. Buliding Fund or the activity fund at the Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville or to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home

Mr. Jacob Schuetz of Okawville, IL departed this life in the emergency room of the Washington County Hospital at Nashville, IL on Thursday, January 14th, 2010 at 4:55 A.M. after a sudden illness. He had attained the age of 93 years, 7 months and 13 days.

Jacob was born in Venedy Twp., Washington County, IL on May 31st 1916 the son of Jacob and Marie (nee Ruehl) Schuetz. He was united in marriage to Edna Finke on August 20th 1939 at St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death on November 27th, 2005.

Mr. Schuetz was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau. He was a faithful member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ (White Church) in rural Okawville where he had served on the church council and various other church committees.

Left to mourn his passing is 2 sons, Daniel C. Schuetz of Okawville and Ronald Schuetz and wife Elizabeth of Dalzell, IL; a grandson, John Schuetz and wife Beth of Seneca, IL; 3 great grandchildren, Tori, Ryan and Carter Schuetz; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins well as a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Edna, 3 brothers, Gilbert, Alfred and Paul Schuetz; and 5 sisters, Olga Schuetz, Rose Mode, Esther Bohbrink, Manda Reusse and Alma Droege.
