| Services: Memorial Services will be held in the Immanuel
Lutheran Church at Okawville on Saturday, January
23rd, 2010 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Darwin Schrader
officiating. Interment of ashes will be in the church
cemetery. |
Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Okawville Senior Center, Immanuel Lutheran Wee Care or to Friendship Manor Health Care Center and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home of Okawville. |

Mrs. Marian Brockmeier of Okawville, IL departed this
life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center at
Nashville, IL on Saturday, January 16th, 2010 at
11:45 P.M. She had attained the age of 81 years, 5
months and 3 days.
Marian was born at Addieville, IL on August 13th,
1928 the daughter of Edward C.J. and Alma (nee
Schoeneberg) Barkau. She was united in marriage to
Walter H. Brockmeier in the Zion United Church of
Christ at Addieville on October 29th, 1950 and he
preceded her in death on February 1st, 2003.
Left to mourn her passing is her 5 children,
Robert Brockmeier and William Brockmeier both of
Okawville, Gerald Brockmeier and wife Kathy of
Addieville, Ann Luedders and husband Larry of
Steeleville, IL and Mary Lou Lake and husband Dale of
Marissa, IL; 9 grandchildren, Michele Tschetter and
husband Ryan, Tim Luedders and wife Maura, Brandon
Brockmeier and wife Amanda, Jamie Fritz and husband
Kevin, Megan Brockmeier and fiancée Mike McLean, and
Jenna, Jaci, Janel and Jolyn Lake; 5 great
grandchildren, Ty, Tad and Toby Tschetter, Amelia
Luedders and Payton Fritz; 3 sisters-in-law, Verdell
Unverfehrt and husband Al, Leona Shubert and Mildred
Barkau all of Okawville; nieces; nephews as well as a
host of friends.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents,
Edward and Alma Barkau; husband, Walter; a daughter,
Catherine in infancy; a daughter-in-law, Judy
Brockmeier; a brother, Roland Barkau and a sister,
Ruth Barkau.
In accordance with Marian’s wishes, cremation will be
performed.
