Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Saturday from 7:30 AM until 9 AM and then at the church from 10 AM until the service hour.
 
Services: Funeral Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Joshua Theilen officiating and with interment in the church cemetery.

Memorials: Should friends desire memorial contributions can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Christ Our Rock High School and Washington County Relay for Life and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mr. Eldor Haake of Hoyleton, IL, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 1:20 AM. He had attained the age of 93 years, 3 months and 19 days.

Mr. Haake was born on October 1, 1916 at Covington, IL, the son of Christ and Mary (Pohlman) Haake. He was united in marriage to Laura Kasten on December 16, 1939 at St. Louis, MO and she survives his passing.

Eldor was the owner and operator of Haake’s Trucking Livestock/Fertilizer and the Haake Brothers Elevator in Huegley, IL. He then worked at the Centralia Container until his retirement. While in his retirement he worked at the Trinity Lutheran School in Hoyleton as the custodian for 13 years, until he was age 80. Eldor was a member of the Lions Club in Hoyleton, the Trinity Lutheran School Board, a council member of the Hoyleton Village Board and he was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Laura Haake of Hoyleton, 4 children, El Dean Haake and his wife Susan, Larry Haake and his wife Sarah all of Carbondale, IL, Roy Haake and his wife Marsha of Hoyleton, and Judy Harnetiaux and her husband Gary of Lake Ozark, MO; a son-in-law, Gerald Gutzler; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relation and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Betty Gutzler; a granddaughter, Jennifer Laura Gutzler; 5 brothers, Wilbert, Arthur, Walter, Harold & Paul Haake; and 2 sisters, Ella Kahre and Irene James.
