Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL. on Tuesday from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Wednesday from 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM.
 
Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, on Wednesday, February, 3, 2010 at 10 AM with Fr. Robert Zwilling officiating and with interment in the church cemetery.

A rosary/prayer service will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7:30 PM.


Memorials: Should friends desire, Mass offerings or memorial contributions to St. Michael’s Catholic Church may be offered and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mrs. Regina Gajewski of Nashville, Il., formerly of rural Ashley, IL departed this life at the St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 1:07 AM. She had attained the age of 93 years, 8 months and 19 days.

Mrs. Gajewski was born on May 12, 1916 in rural Washington County, near Posen, IL, the daughter of Michael and Helena (Piasecki) Rozycki. She was united in marriage to Walter J. Gajewski on December 28, 1943 in Posen and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1988.

Regina worked at Hollywood Brands at Ashley, Il. for 5 years and she was an active farm wife. She was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL where she was involved with the Holy Rosary Sodality. She also was a member of the Living Rosary Sodality at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, IL.

Left to mourn her passing is her 2 sons, Edwin Gajewski and his wife Catherine of Scheller, IL; and Fred Gajewski and his wife Marsha of Ashley, Il. 7 Grandchildren, Christina (Greg) Lueking of Woodlawn, Il., Eric (Amanda) Gajewski and Jeremy (Leigha) Gajewski, all of Scheller, Il., Mick Gajewski of Ashley, Il., Matt (Christie) Gajewski of Nashville, Il., Andy Gajewski of Ashley, Il., and Jay (Amanda) Gajewski of Nashville, Il. 7 great grandchildren , brother-in-law Leonard Konkel of Nashville, Il., 2 sisters-in-law, Josephine Rozycki of Granite City, Il., and Martha Piasecki of Nashville, Il., nieces, nephews, other relation and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Edward, Alexander and Stanley Rozycki; 5 sisters, Theresa Pinski, Rose Bargiel, Clara Kornek, Barbara Miller and Mary Konkel; and a grandson, Jody Gajewski.
