Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, IL on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and on Monday from 7:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M.

The rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:00 P.M. at the Campagna Funeral Home.

 
Services:

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at Radom, Il. on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Robert Zwilling officiating and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Military Graveside Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #110 of Nashville.


Memorials: Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Washington County Hospital and will be accepted at the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mr. Leo Rozanski , of Radom, IL, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 9:45 P.M. He had attained the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 15 days.

Mr. Rozanski was born on the family farm near Radom, IL on February 19, 1916 the son of Thomas and Hedwig (Sicora) Rozanski. He was united in marriage to Loraine Szramkowski at St. Louis, MO on October 20, 1943 and she preceded him in death on January 3, 2005. Mr. Rozanski was a Veteran of WW II serving in the United States Navy aboard the destroyer the U.S.S. Mullany during the Battle of Iwo Jima and other key naval battles. He attained the rank of Petty Officer First Class.

Leo was employed as a mechanic at Sterling Aluminum in St. Charles, MO and later he worked at Crown Cork and Seal in St. Louis until retirement in 1981. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church at Radom and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Rozanski was a member of the International Association of Machinist Local 688 of St. Louis.

Left to mourn his passing are 3 children, Jim Rozanski of Chicago, IL, Judy (Michael) Koehler of Catawissa, MO, and John Rozanski of Radom, his twin sister, Helen (Wilbur) Fienup of Chesterfield, MO, 2 grandchildren, Amy and Eric Koehler of Catawissa, MO and several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 5 brothers, Nick, Joseph, Ed, Alex and Michael Rozanski, 5 sisters, Margaret Holtz, Rose Michalski, Pauline Sherman, Wanda Buretta, and a sister in infancy.
