Visitation:

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, Il. on Monday February 8, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 7:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M.

The rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:45 P.M.. at the Campagna Funeral Home.

 
Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church at Nashville, Il. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating with interment in the New St.Ann Cemetery.

Memorials: Should friends desire memorials can be made to the St. Ann Catholic School or the St. Michael Catholic School and will be received by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mr. Lawrence W. Kobus, Jr. of Radom, Illinois departed this life at the Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, Mo. on Friday , February 5, 2010 at 3:30 A.M. He had attained the age of 54 years, 1 month, and 13 days.

Mr. Kobus was born in Nashville, Il. on December 22, 1955 the son of Lawrence J. and Juanita (Kuhl) Kobus. He was united in marriage to Sherry Winka at Radom, Il. on April 12, 1980 and she survives his passing.

Lawrence was a Letter Carried for the United States Postal Service. He worked at the Pinckneyville post office most of his career and retired with 30 years of service. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union and served as steward at his home post office.

When young, Lawrence was an avid tennis player. He enjoyed playing the piano, yard work, gardening, high school basketball, and attending his children’s sports events. Mr. Kobus was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church at Radom, Il.

Mr. Kobus is survived by his wife, Sherry Kobus of Radom, Il. his mother, Juanita Kobus of Nashville, Il., a son, Dale Kobus, 2 daughters, Nancy and Amy Kobus all of Radom, Il., one brother, Danny (Malinda) Kobus of Nashville, Il, 3 sister, Susan Boosinger, Judy Kobus, Marilyn Johnson all of Nashville, Il., other relation and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, William and Anne Kobus, and maternal grandparents, Ted and Elsie Kuhl.
