Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home of Okawville on Tuesday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 7:30 A.M. until the service hour.
 
Services: Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home of Okawville on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Interment services will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery at Freeburg, IL on Wednesday at 2 P.M.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Okawville Senior Center or to the Heritage House Museum Association and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Mr. Larry Pruett of Okawville, IL departed this life in the Methodist Medical Center at Peoria, IL on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 12:50 A.M. after a sudden illness. He had attained the age of 71 years, 6 months and 24 days.

Larry was born at Vandalia, IL on October 22, 1938 the son of Bert and Mary Lucille (nee Smail) Pruett. Mr. Pruett served in the United States Marine Corp. He was united in marriage to Sally (nee Munson) Dolen in the St. Peter United Church of Christ at Okawville on March 20, 1993 and she survives his passing.

Larry worked for the railroad for 37 years retiring from the Customer Service Department at Union Pacific Railroad. Mr. Pruett was a HAM Radio Operator. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a member of the Harley Davidson Riding Club. Larry and Sally often ate dinner at the Okawville Senior Center and they loved to travel.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Sally of Okawville; 2 step daughter, Susan Fraser of Troy, MO and Kim McCloud and husband Dan of Highland, IL; 1 step son, Jeff Dolen of Okawville; 2 brothers, Ralph Pruett of Freeburg, IL and Marvin Pruett and wife Alvina of Belleville, IL; 1 sister, Rosemary Slone and husband Mac of Cincinatti, OH; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lewis Pruett and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Pruett.
