Mr. John Herman Boeschen, of Nashville, IL
departed this life at the Friendship Manor Healthcare
Center in Nashville on May 22, 2010 at 12:35 AM. He
had attained the age of 82 years, 5 months and 28
days.
Mr. Boeschen was born at home in Addieville, IL on
October 24, 1927, the son of John Herman and Alice
Mary (Klosterhoff) Boeschen. He was baptized and
confirmed at the Zion United Church of Christ in
Addieville. He was united in marriage on October 9,
1954, to Betty Jane (Peps) Scheurich of Belleville,
IL, at the St. Paul Evangelical Church in Belleville.
John graduated from the Nashville Community High
School in 1945 and he then became Addieville Lumbers
First Employee. He was in the United States Army for
2 years, serving one year in Korea in 1947. John
started work in 1950 as a lineman for Tri County
Electric Cooperative and worked there almost 47 years
until he retired in 1996 as foreman for Washington
County. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical
Church in Addieville and was a charter member of the
Addieville Community Club. He was a charter member of
the Elkhorn Hunting Club and a member of
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Left to mourn his passing are his 3 sons, John
Patrick Boeschen of Nashville, Tod Arden Boeschen and
Michael Edward Boeschen both of Addieville; a sister,
Marilyn Kirchhoefer and her husband Merrill of
Nashville; a granddaughter, Brittney Michelle Howell
of Johnson City; 3 great grandchildren, Alexis,
Hannah and Landon; nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
