| Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home at
Okawville on Friday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on
Saturday from 8 A.M. until the service hour. |

| Services: In accordance with the wishes of the family,
cremation was performed.
Memorial services will be held at the Campagna
Funeral Home of Okawville, IL on Saturday, July 10,
2010 at 10 A.M. with Fr. Jack Joyce officiating.
Interment of ashes will be in the St. Barbara
Catholic Cemetery at Okawville. |
Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home. |

Mr. Chad Matthews of Nashville, IL departed this life
at the Allen Branch Recreation Complex on Carlyle
Lake on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 8:00 A.M. due to
an accidental drowning. He had attained the age of 31
years, 10 months and 27 days.
Chad was born at Camp Pendelton, CA on August 10,
1978 the son of Randy and Becky (nee Recker)
Matthews.
Chad graduated from McKendree College with a
degree in Industrial Arts. He worked as a union
contractor and was currently employed at the Prairie
State Energy Campus in rural Washington County, IL.
Chad enjoyed skydiving and had a love of the
outdoors. He enjoyed going camping and fishing.
Left to mourn his passing is a son, Keegan
Matthews of Centralia, IL; his father, Randy Matthews
of Okawville; his mother, Becky Just and husband Pete
of Simpsonville, SC; a sister, Angie Matthews of
Simpsonville, SC; maternal grandfather, Robert Recker
of Ava, IL; a nephew, Nicholas Matthews; aunts,
uncles, other relatives as well as a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua
Matthews; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Recker;
paternal grandfather, Charles B. Matthews Jr. and
paternal grandmother, Maryanna Matthews.
