Visitation: Friends may call at the St. Peter United Church of Christ on Monday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 8 A.M. until 1 P.M.
 
Services: Funeral services will be held in the St. Peter United Church of Christ at Okawville on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 1 P.M. with Pastor Jeffrey Schwab officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the St. Peter Altar Cloth Fund, the Friendship Manor Activity Fund or to Irvington U.C.C. Food Pantry and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home of Okawville.

Mrs. Esther Lehde of Okawville, IL departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center at Nashville, IL on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 5:10 P.M. She had attained the age of 80 Years, 10 months and 23 days.

Esther was born at Plum Hill, IL on August 16, 1929 the daughter of John and Ella (nee Mittendorf) Klingenberg. She was united in marriage to Norman Lehde at the St. John United Church of Christ at Plum Hill on January 11, 1958 and he survives her passing.

Several years ago, Mrs. Lehde worked at the SandelCraft Shoe Factory in Addieville, IL and then the shoe factory in Okawville. Esther was a homemaker and farm wife, working along side Norman on the family farm. She would grow and can her own vegetables out of the garden. She also loved quilting and doing needlework. She was a faithful member of the St. Peter United Church of Christ at Okawville where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and a former Sunday school teacher.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Norman Lehde of Okawville; two children, Karen Roe and husband Brett of Okawville and Jeff Lehde of Addieville, IL; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Katlyn Roe; a sister, Gladys Hassebrock of Okawville; numerous cousins as well as a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Raymond Hassebrock.
