| Visitation: Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in
Nashville on Monday from 6 PM until 8 PM and on
Tuesday from 7:30 AM until 9 AM and then at the
church from 10 AM until the service hour.

| Services: Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran
Church in New Minden on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11
AM with Pastor Timothy Mueller officiating and with
interment in the church cemetery.

Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home. |

Mr. Willard E. Witte of Richmond Heights, MO,
formerly of New Minden, IL, departed this life at St.
Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO, on Thursday, July
29, 2010 at 7:11 PM. He had attained the age of 88
years, 4 months and 19 days.
Mr. Witte was born on March 10, 1922, at New
Minden, IL, the son of Fred and Ida (Heseman) Witte.
He was united in marriage to Evelyn Riechman on
February 16, 1947 at Irvington, IL, and she preceded
him in death on January 13, 2002.
Willard was a member of the United States Army,
having served in World War II. He worked as a
cook/baker at the Warren G. Murry Child Development
Center in Centralia, IL for 22 years, until his
retirement. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran
Church in New Minden, IL, American Legion Post 1227
in Beckmeyer, IL and the VFW Post 3523 in Carlyle,
IL. Willard was an avid Cardinal fan and loved
gardening.
Left to mourn his passing is his daughter, Diana
Garrison of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law, Susan
Witte of St. Louis; 4 grandchildren, Michele Miesner
and her husband Michael, Bryan Prusz and his wife
Tracie, Sara Witte and Blake Witte and his wife
Bekki; 4 great grandchildren, Adam Prusz, Ryan
Bennett, Riley and Joshua Zimmerman; other relation
and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife,
son, Mark Witte; a brother, Bruno Witte and a sister,
Lillian Brinkmann.
